She offers a unique outlook through her leadership roles in both water and energy utilities and will highlight several American Water projects that demonstrate the ever-increasing interconnectedness of these sectors, which will provide utilities with opportunities for greater efficiency and better service.
Sullivan will participate on a panel that will emphasize how both public and private investment and expertise are needed to tackle the water infrastructure crisis. She will provide the perspective of an investor owned utility and discuss opportunities to break down existing barriers to private investments, statutory and regulatory hurdles that challenge private-public sector innovation and cooperation, and ways to maximize the options and opportunities available to communities.
